I've decided that is what makes Mondays tough. I'm just sad the weekend is over.
We had fun this weekend. We went shopping and did gardening. We were fully intending on going out Saturday night, but had our date in our house instead. We bought a movie and watched it while munching Dominoes. Oh well.
We are teaching a Sunday School class at church. It is going pretty well. They all like to come to class now because Ozzy brought his taser to show them. That noisy thing is a real crowd pleaser!
Back to school today, but only for these last four weeks. Sometimes I worry I'll be bored when I'm not here, but judging from the yardwork and the state of the "nursery" and the housekeeping jobs Ozzy picks up for me, I think I'll keep busy after all.
Jazz are in the playoffs this year. We are not basketball people. Ozzy likes to watch Jazz playoff games. Basketball makes me narcaleptic. I fall asleep by halftime, easy. This was true last year, so I can't actually blame it on the baby.
Lately I feel huge because I just keep getting bigger. I tell Ozzy I'm fat, but he says i'm just pregnant. I tell him I'll be fat after the baby comes out. Hello, jelly belly. Hmmm . . . those sound good . . .
Mo, Ozzy, Marshall, and Malcom taking naps and having fun!

The joys of slackerhood
Even as I type, I should probably be correcting papers. Oh well.
I got really stressed out about work and all the "stuff" I needed to do there, from general classroom maintenance, to correcting papers, to dealing with coworker problems, to turning into the "go to girl" for everything. I was so stressed I go home in tears about stupid small things and I finally decided to take some time off.
That was a good idea.
Now my Ozzy says whenever I get stressed, I have to burn a sick day. He knows it isn't good for the baby when I'm stressed, and it isn't particularly fun for him either. (ie: He walks in the door after work and I sob "I'm having a bad day!". So much for yummy dinner or a relaxing evening.)
Now I have taken a "who cares" attitude. I think it's because I took off Monday and Tuesday to spend with my parents who were visiting and then Spring Break starts at 12:30 tomorrow. I am procrastinating. A lot. And I don't care.
Oh well, we shall see if this works out for me or not! Hopefully I'll discover that a lot of my little stress issues are very unimportant.
I got my hair cut Monday. Grandma would like it. It is very short. It probably hasn't been this short since I got home from my mission. I let the hair girl do whatever she wanted. My hair has been thinner, weirder, and less curly since baby implanted and I wasn't even trying anymore. Besides, he probably would have pulled my hair long hair all out. Or I would have turned into the bun girl. Shudder.
Maybe I'll get a picture on here for you. I figured out how to get phone pictures to the internet. Now I can post them. You can enjoy them. Or not enjoy them. I don't care. Welcome to the prevailing attitude. Now I will order pizza.

Where are the pictures?
On my kitchen counter. This week has been absolutely crazy. Last week was parent teacher conferences (absolutely crazy) which meant I was at the school. A lot. Not home. Sleeping. Where I wanted to be. This week we had some of those sit and listen for teachers classes Monday (teachers are not good at sitting and listening) and on Tuesday we had yuck. There are three of us who teach second grade at our school and the two of us get along great. One has been very unhappy all year for various personal reasons common to single girls and the internet. In addition, she just isn't too happy about being here in Utah and would like to be elsewhere. This, of course, impacts her job and sometimes us. She's not a person who is easygoing/approachable, so we ended up having a meeting with her and two administrators. She came and yelled at me. Yikes. So that made Tuesday completely unpleasant. I was in no mood to post an appropriate, fair, or even very interesting blog.
After that, I've just had the aftermath of missed parent teacher conferences and trying to make nice. Exhausting, actually.
Ozzy has had quite the week as well. He had to take his recently fixed car back to the dealer Monday because they forgot to complete their job and has been stuck working late every day this week. Wednesday he only had to stay a half hour late. Tuesday I took him dinner at work and hung out with him. We were there until 9! The poor man has had to work A LOT this week.
So, there are your excuses. With a little luck and a miracle on behalf of the pregnant brain, I'll take photos of the photos and bring them to school Monday and post them. No promises. Breaking them is mean.
The baby continues to kick and punch and squirm. It's funny if Ozzy and I are snuggling and the baby kicks hard enough he feels it against his tummy. Pow!
And what is with KK going to New York? Is he really going? Is it for more than a girl? These are burning questions. Ozzy wants to know how KK's going to marry Anna if he goes to New York for Ruth! We keep trying to explain that Fat William's supposed to marry her . . . (that was just for you, Dana and Tori!)

Looking Pregnant and Being a Grandma
Uncle Bryce always says I'm a grandma. He likes to tease Ozzy about chasing down an older woman. Their family came to see our house yesterday. I'm glad they did! It meant a lot to Ozzy that some of his family wanted to come and visit. It also gave me a chance to give them the hats I made for them. Uncle Bryce had seen me working on one and asked when "grandma was making mine!" I made his camo and fun colored ones for the girls. I couldn't decide what to make for Aunt Jess, so she told me to go with pink. I'll have to start that one in a week or two.
I have a funny story from school. Another second grade class came to my room for health for the first time in a couple months. They must have forgotten my news. A little girl raised her hand and said, "I don't mean to be rude, but you look kinda pregnant."
"That's because I am pregnant."
"Good, or we'd need a different health teacher!"
Good luck to all her future teachers! May they not be overweight!
We went to our new congregation for church Sunday. They were pretty friendly people, actually, but not pushy, gushy, or into all out business. We like friendly better than invisible, we decided. We'll get used to them. There are lots of older people, but there's a fair number of young families too, so we won't be weird. About time I wasn't weird, huh?
We're excited to go to Rexburg Saturday. I might be a bit uncomfortable on our way up, but I should be asleep when we come home. Ozzy just hopes we don't get pulled over. :) We did once, but we scored a warning! He hates cops. Go figure. I love that guy.
I did something silly yesterday. I went to the store on my way home to get stuff for tacos. I also got sonic slushes. We love em. I decided I wanted onion rings. I got home and ate them up. By the time I was dont making tacos, I wasn't hungry and I didn't want any. I love tacos! I'm excited to try to eat them again tonight, but I'm not sure my ozzy is. :)

on tummy, house, and getting back to work
Christmas vacation was fabulous. Everyone asks us what we did on our Northwest adventure. We sigh and get a dreamy look on our faces and say, "almost nothing." Could anything be better? The only stinky part of the whole thing was Delta. I think the entire corporation has suffered from head trauma, or is naturally stupid. Both our flights were delayed. Ugh. Not by days, but by enough hours that you wonder if driving would have saved some aggravation. Then, in Seattle, I noticed that almost every Delta flight was delayed. Hmmmm. We probably won't switch to Southwest, though. Having to sit in whatever is left after the stampede isn't my style. We're newlyweds. We actually still want to sit together.
We will probably close on our house at the end of next week. We will probably move in shortly thereafter. My hubby is FREAKING EXCITED about all the home improvements he wants to do. The man is even jazzed about insulation. His favorite project is the 700 or 800 square feet of unfinished basement. I hesitate to introduce him to HGTV. It could start a riot. I love that guy. Anyhow, we're just waiting on loan offers and, just to make our lives easier, the house appraised for 10,000 more than we're paying, so it should be a fairly simple deal. Between that and the fact that my husband has the credit rating of Superman, this shouldn't be too traumatic.
We had to go to work this week after nine or more, in my case days of the good life. Poor Ozzy was just about dead after work Monday. He survived Wednesday and I think the worst of the jolt back to the working world is over. I started today. Luckily, the kids were as out of sinc and tired as me, so that helped. Last year they were hyperactive after the break, so there was some definate fear this morning. They're all excited about writing a class newspaper. At least something worked. I feel like a cheater because we only have a half day tomorrow. This makes my life way easier than I deserve.
My tummy is expanding. We're in the pound a week phase of pregnancy, so I can eat now too. I don't have a fabulous appetite, but way better than before. I've discovered that my crazy confusing nightmares are from my prenatal. I was taking it before bed to avoid getting sick, but one night I got really sick anyway . . . . so the pills interrupt my sleep and make my dreams all weird. I'm trying different kinds, but I might have to start taking halves or something. We're excited because we go to the doctor next week to hear the heartbeat again. Yay! Sometimes I forget that I'm pregnant and I just think I'm getting fat. I have a good hubby who reminds me that I'm supposed to get fat. :) I'll let you know how the doctor goes next week.
